Ingredients

  • 28-ounce bag thick-cut frozen oven fries
  • 4 Tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp steak seasoning
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 cup pickle slices
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Toss the frozen fries with melted butter and fresh rosemary on a large baking sheet.
  3. Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer and bake for 25 to 28 minutes until crispy.
  4. While fries bake, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Season the ground beef with steak seasoning and cook in the skillet until browned and cooked through.
  6. Once the beef is cooked, place cheese slices on top and cover the pan briefly to melt.
  7. To assemble, divide the crispy fries into bowls.
  8. Top each bowl with the cheeseburger mixture.
  9. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, and pickled jalapeños as desired.

Notes

Ensure you remove the seeds from the tomatoes to keep the fries crunchy. If you prefer a meatless version, you can substitute the ground beef with seasoned lentils or a plant-based crumble.
