Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Caesar salad dressing (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2, 8-ounce cooked chicken breasts (baked for juiciness)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce (chopped)
  • 2 cups grape tomatoes (optional, halved)
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons (gluten-free recommended)

Method

  1. Cover Caesar salad dressing and refrigerate for serving.
  2. Slice cooked chicken breasts against the grain into 1/4-inch strips.
  3. Chop romaine lettuce and halve grape tomatoes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine romaine, tomatoes (if using), and sliced chicken.
  5. Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese over salad.
  6. Add croutons to the bowl and drizzle with chilled dressing.
  7. Toss all ingredients until dressing evenly coats salad.

Notes

Chill dressing for 30 minutes before use for ideal consistency.
Undercook chicken by 1-2 minutes to prevent dryness after slicing.
Add lemon wedges on the side for extra brightness.
Use room-temperature dressing for better coating.
Stir dressing frequently during toss to distribute evenly.
If romaine is unavailable, substitute with butter lettuce.
Vegan parmesan and gluten-free croutons are optional swaps.
