Ingredients

  • 1½ pounds Sirloin Steak, cut into bite-size pieces (or strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, rib eye)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ⅛ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Pat the steak bites dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add steak bites in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a deep brown crust forms. Remove steak bites from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  5. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Remove from heat. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure the steak is well-trimmed and at room temperature before searing. Use a high smoke point oil. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
