Method
- Pat the steak bites dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over high heat until shimmering.
- Add steak bites in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a deep brown crust forms. Remove steak bites from the pan and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
- Remove from heat. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, ensure the steak is well-trimmed and at room temperature before searing. Use a high smoke point oil. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
