Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp (21-25 count), tail-on, deveined

Method
 

  1. Pour olive oil into 9x13 inch baking dish
  2. Add lemon juice, minced garlic, Old Bay, sugar
  3. Stir until sugar dissolves
  4. Sprinkle shrimp with salt and pepper
  5. Submerge shrimp in seasoned oil, flip twice
  6. Preheat gas grill to 400°F
  7. Lubricate grates with oil-soaked paper towel
  8. Line shrimp tails parallel to grill bars
  9. Grill 3 minutes per side until bright pink
  10. Transfer to room temperature plate immediately

Notes

Use avocado oil if preferred
Substitute 1 tsp garlic powder
Substitute 1 tsp sweet paprika
Cool on wire rack to prevent steaming
For smokiness, add 1/2 tsp smoked salt
