  • Brown Sugar (1/4 cup, plus extra for sprinkling)
  • Cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • Apple Cider (1/4 cup)
  • Vanilla Extract (1 tsp, optional)
  • Maple Syrup (1/4 cup)

Method
 

  1. Preheat cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add butter and melt until foaming.
  2. Arrange pineapple in a single layer. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon, then cook 4 minutes until golden.
  3. Pour apple cider, maple syrup, and optional vanilla into the pan. Stir to coat pineapple and simmer 3 minutes.
