Ingredients

  • 16-20 oz frozen fries or baby potatoes
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp Greek yogurt or mayo
  • 2-4 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp non-alcoholic Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer or oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. While potatoes cook, heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the ground beef or turkey.
  5. Break the meat apart with a spatula and cook until browned.
  6. Season the meat with onion powder, garlic powder, non-alcoholic Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and pepper.
  7. Whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayo) and pickle juice to create the sauce.
  8. Assemble bowls by layering crispy potatoes, seasoned meat, shredded lettuce, diced pickles, and sharp cheddar cheese.
  9. Drizzle with the prepared smash sauce before serving.

Notes

Ensure you use a non-alcoholic Worcestershire sauce to keep this recipe compliant. For extra crispiness, coat the potatoes lightly with oil before air frying. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
