Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 pounds green grapes, washed and stemmed
  • 2 pounds red grapes, washed and stemmed
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped

Method

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  2. Using an electric hand mixer, beat the mixture until perfectly smooth and creamy.
  3. Place the rinsed and thoroughly dried grapes into a large mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the prepared cream cheese dressing over the grapes and toss gently until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and sprinkle the chopped pecans and light brown sugar over the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill thoroughly.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is fully at room temperature to avoid lumps in your dressing. Drying the grapes completely after washing is crucial, as excess water will cause the dressing to thin. This salad is best stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
