Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 lbs Sirloin Steak, cut into 1 1/4 inch pieces
  • 8 oz Button or Cremini Mushrooms, halved unless small
  • 3 Bell Peppers (1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow), cut into 1 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1 Large Red Onion, diced into chunks (about 1 1/4-inch)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (for vegetables)
  • For the Marinade:
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients.
  2. Add the sirloin steak pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. While the steak marinates, toss the prepared bell peppers and red onion with 1 Tbsp olive oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Thread the marinated steak pieces onto skewers, alternating with the bell peppers, red onion, and mushrooms. Discard any leftover marinade.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning.
Adjust marinating time based on your preference; longer marination allows for deeper flavor infusion.
Feel free to substitute vegetables with your favorites, such as zucchini, cherry tomatoes, or pineapple.
Ensure the steak is cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
