Ingredients
Method
- Pat the flat iron steak dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, black pepper, salt, cranberry juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or up to 3 hours.
- Remove the steak from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Heat a grill or a heavy-bottomed skillet (like cast iron) over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust to your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a different flavor profile, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
Ensure your Worcestershire sauce is alcohol-free if required.
If grilling, oil the grates before placing the steak on the grill.
